ASV 5 is now available. Main new feature is Flash 8 support.

Unfortunately the help file is not ready yet (but will be on Monday). Also, add-on tools are not updated, some of them will get updates in about a week. We hope to update the site during the weekend gradually.

Special thanks to all who sent back bug reports during the 'public for customers beta'.

ASV 5 requires new license files, download locations are also changed.

If you have purchased ASV after or on September 1, 2003, you qualify for free ASV 5 upgrade. Else, you'll need to purchase the upgrade for $14USD + any applicable tax. (Please contact us at support@buraks.com if you want to purchase the upgrade).

To get your free upgrade, you need to request it by writing to us at asv5upg@buraks.com for fastest response. (We will be notifying some of our customers, but this may take time). Please note the following:

- We need to identify you as our customer. We accept your order ID as proof of identity. It's OK if you write to us from your registered address too. We can send the info only to your registered address (or any address we have for you on our records) unless you provide your order ID.

- We need a non-free address for registration. Normally, you can request information to a free email address by providing your order ID. But for the upgrade, we will issue new license files and require a non-free address.

- One of the license files is (again) a DLL file. If you suspect/know that your email filters won't allow a DLL file in a ZIP archive, please mention this. [GMail won't accept such an attachment).

You will receive your new download location and license files in at most 48 hours. Usually in 24 hours or less. If you don't hear from us in 24 hours, please don't hesitate to write again, sometimes mails do get lost.

Some other notes:

- No, we didn't add any support for bypassing any obfuscators. We may do so with a future update.

- Initial release version is 5.01, because we have realized some people thought Beta 4 was ASV 5. So, we hope having version 5.01 will help to clarify.

Help file is now also available at download locations. (If your download location hasn't been updated yet, please allow an hour or so).

Also, because add-on tools haven't been updated yet, we had included a file named ASV40.PKE (name of one of the license files for ASV 4.x) with the download. This was required for add-on tools to work. It turns out, with this file SOL Viewer&Editor and MXP Viewer&Extractor tools won't run. Another dummy ASV40.PKE is available at the download locations.
